Iowa Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health advocacy deals with the systems issues, elimination of stigma and public education about mental health.

We work with the National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health and all Federation Affiliates across the Nation, ASK Resource Center, Iowa Behavioral Alliance, Iowa Residential Providers, Success 4, Iowa CEC, Center for Disabilities and Development, Iowa Mental Health Planning Council and the Mental Health/ Developmental Disabilities Commission, the Parent Educator Connection and the state Departments of: Human Services, Education, and Juvenile Justice to ensure better services for our children. To educate the public, we speak to the media, telephone network, make presentations at conferences, seminars, meetings and maintain a library of current children's issues.

Iowa Federation of Families believes that the best way to help families and their children improve their lives is through support, information and advocacy, An informed parent is a critical piece of all planning teams.
